Research status

Public directory indices and the complete supplied FAA workbook have been imported. Detailed company enrichment is tracked separately: 5,828 Charter Broker profiles and 2,926 Aviapages profiles are currently included. Transport Canada’s public CAR 703 register contributes 452 distinct operators, with 452 detailed profiles included. UK CAA operating certificates and aircraft type authorizations supplement matched companies. Profile gaps remain visible as unreported fields.

Air Charter Guide is available through its public browser search; automated retrieval was restricted. VirtualHangar and some regulatory downloads were also restricted. These sources do not contribute unverified records to the current database.

How records are reconciled

Company records match conservatively by name and country. Legal certificate holders retain their identities. Aircraft relationships distinguish reported operators, certificate associations and broker marketing. Aircraft identified by registration and serial number are separate from reported quantities by model. Conflicting serial numbers remain in the research record.

Association membership, audit ratings, operating authority and ground handling standards have separate fields. Directory entries describe reported businesses and aircraft; availability and certificate currency require confirmation with the company or issuing body.

Images & later analysis

Fleet photographs use operator-owned websites with an explicit credit and originating page, or material with documented reuse permission. Directory photographs are excluded. The Statistics at a glance view calculates country, fleet, category, age and base figures from the current snapshot. Reported fleet totals remain separate from identified aircraft. Traffic rankings and busiest routes require movement data and cannot be inferred from fleet listings.
