Your journey
Private jet to Nashville
Nashville works best when the live performances shape the itinerary before the restaurant bookings do. SoBro places visitors near the Country Music Hall of Fame and the riverfront, the Gulch provides a different dining-and-hotel base, and the historic downtown hotel district has its own appeal. Private travellers can compare BNA with John C. Tune, west of the city, while checking current handling arrangements. Beyond the honky-tonks, leave time for the National Museum of African American Music and the recording history interpreted by Studio B. A tasting-menu dinner, a museum visit and a major show are each substantial commitments; spreading them across several days produces a more rewarding stay.

Where to land for Nashville
Nashville International serves the southeast of the city, while John C. Tune lies to the west. Consider the recording, performance or meeting venues on your itinerary when comparing airport and ground-transfer arrangements.
Airport options and trade-offs| Airport | Location and access | Private aviation planning |
|---|
| Nashville InternationalBNA / KBNA | Southeast of Downtown Nashville. | The principal airport has Signature private handling and on-site international processing facilities. Compare it with the operator’s requirements and the selected hotel location, using the FBO address for pickup. |
|---|
| John C. TuneJWN / KJWN | About eight miles west of Downtown. | The airport authority describes this as Nashville’s executive airport and lists Contour as its FBO. It is a relevant general-aviation alternative; confirm current facilities while the separate Atlantic development is under construction. |

Private terminals and arrival experience
A fixed-base operator (FBO) provides ground services for private aircraft and their passengers. The handling team coordinates your arrival; airport opening hours alone do not establish terminal or border-service availability.
Nashville International
Signature BNA
Signature publishes 24-hour service, customs and immigration facilities, deicing and heated-hangar capability. Confirm the actual clearance appointment and any requested aircraft space before arrival.
West Nashville
John C. Tune’s current and future facilities
Use the authority’s current Contour contact for handling enquiries. Its August 2026 announcement describes Atlantic’s executive terminal and hangar as a construction project; do not book on the assumption that those future facilities are already open.
Airport transfers and getting around
Historic Downtown
BNA to The Hermitage Hotel
The hotel estimates approximately 20 minutes by car from BNA. Treat that as a property-published benchmark, excluding flight formalities and any difference in the FBO route. Concerts, stadium traffic and road closures can change the journey.
Ryman, museums and SoBro
A walkable downtown programme
The Hermitage publishes about an eight-minute walk to the Ryman and 13 minutes to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Four Seasons is in SoBro near the riverfront; choose the day’s sequence around the actual hotel rather than transferring between nearby stops by car.
Ask the operating carrier to confirm aircraft suitability, handling and permissions for the actual itinerary. For budgeting, see our private jet charter cost guide.
History of Nashville
Nashville developed beside the Cumberland River as a late eighteenth-century settlement and trading centre. It became Tennessee's capital and grew through transport, education and commerce. Recording, publishing and performance later established its strong music-industry identity.
Founded as a frontier settlement in 1779, Nashville grew through Cumberland River trade and later rail connections. State government, publishing and education supported the city's importance before its recording industry became dominant.
Radio broadcasting and the Grand Ole Opry helped establish national musical influence. The city also played a significant role in civil-rights organising, including student-led sit-ins during the twentieth century.
