Stratos 714

The Stratos 714 was the proof-of-concept aircraft for a high-performance, single-engine personal jet. It combined a composite airframe with a compact cabin and was intended to test whether a small jet could deliver useful speed and range for owner-pilot travel.

Overview

Program history

The 714 provided the flight-test foundation for Stratos’s later, larger 716 programme. Its appearance at AirVenture in 2017 demonstrated the original aircraft before the company expanded the cabin concept. The 714 and 716X are distinct development airframes; the larger aircraft’s published weights and performance should not be assigned to the earlier prototype.
