Overview
The Avanti II retains the original three-lifting-surface, pusher-propeller arrangement while updating the cockpit and cabin. Collins Pro Line 21 avionics are a major distinction from the first-generation aircraft.
Program history
Piaggio announced the Avanti II in 2004 and obtained EASA certification in 2005. The programme modernized the existing Avanti rather than replacing its distinctive aerodynamic architecture.
