Learjet
Learjet 55 family
The Learjet 55 family brought a larger cabin into the Learjet range while retaining twin-turbofan performance and a winglet-equipped wing. The original 55 and subsequent B and C versions represent an important step from the brand’s early small-cabin jets toward midsize business aircraft.

Overview
Program history
The Model 55 used the Longhorn-wing development path to support a larger cabin and a different passenger experience. Its purpose was to broaden Learjet’s reach beyond the compact early models. Later B and C developments refined the aircraft, with the 55C adding distinctive delta fins; the subsequent Learjet 60 continued the larger-cabin lineage.
