Overview
Program history
IAI certified the Model 1124A Westwind II in 1980 as a development of the turbofan-powered Westwind I. The changes included winglets, wing refinements, additional fuel provision and revised avionics and interior. This extended the Westwind’s development life before the Astra introduced a new wing and more extensive changes to the manufacturer’s business-jet offering.
