Israel Aerospace Industries
IAI Galaxy
The IAI Galaxy extended the company’s business-jet range into a larger cabin and longer-range role. Twin Pratt & Whitney Canada engines, a swept wing and a spacious executive interior made it a different proposition from the compact Astra; it was subsequently renamed the Gulfstream G200.

Overview
Program history
IAI developed the Galaxy with a new fuselage, improved engines and a modified wing to address the super-midsize business-jet market. Initial certification came in December 1998. Its later Gulfstream 200 designation was a name change within the same certified aircraft design, connecting the Galaxy program directly with Gulfstream’s subsequent super-midsize product line.
