Overview
The original HA-420 HondaJet places its engines on pylons above the wings, freeing space in the rear fuselage. A composite fuselage and aerodynamic work on the nose and wing support the aircraft’s light-jet mission.
Program history
Honda developed the aircraft through a long research programme before bringing it to the market. The over-the-wing engine arrangement was selected for its aerodynamic and packaging benefits and remains a defining feature of later HondaJet variants.
