Overview
The E1000 AX builds on the GX with a package of cockpit and cabin refinements, including Garmin autothrottle. The aircraft retains the composite six-seat, single-PT6 layout while adding systems intended to reduce workload and assist in an emergency.
Program history
Epic announced the AX in 2025 and reported FAA aircraft certification that July. FAA approval for its Garmin Autoland installation followed in September 2026, a separate milestone from the initial AX type certification.
