Embraer Executive Jets
Legacy 500
The Legacy 500 combines a stand-up, flat-floor cabin with full fly-by-wire flight controls and a Collins Pro Line Fusion flight deck. As the larger member of the 450/500 pair, it was designed around midsize business missions requiring both cabin space and transcontinental capability.

Overview
Program history
Embraer developed the Legacy 500 as a purpose-built jet rather than an ERJ derivative. The program brought a new cabin cross-section and digital flight-control architecture into its executive range, with the smaller 450 sharing the approach. The later Praetor 600 extended the 500 platform’s range through changes to fuel capacity, aerodynamics and propulsion.
