Overview
Program history
Announced in 2001, the 7X moved beyond the earlier Falcon trijet architecture with a new wing and digital flight-control system. The first flight occurred in 2005 and service entry followed in 2007. The program focused on long-distance capability and precise handling with reduced routine pilot workload, later forming the foundation of the stretched Falcon 8X.
