TBM 700 family
The TBM 700 established a compact, pressurized turboprop for owners seeking turbine performance in a single-engine aircraft. Its six-seat cabin and PT6 powerplant placed it between high-performance piston aircraft and larger business turboprops, with successive versions improving access, equipment and weight capability.

Overview
Program history
The program originated through cooperation between SOCATA in Tarbes and Mooney in Texas. Certification in 1990 brought the initial 700-hp aircraft to market. Subsequent 700A, 700B and 700C2 developments refined the original formula before the more powerful TBM 850 continued the same aircraft lineage.
