Program history
The CJ2 extended the CitationJet platform to address a broader light-jet mission. It retained the Williams-powered family concept and single-pilot capability, but used a longer cabin and revised wing. Cessna later refined this branch with the CJ2+, while the CJ3 offered a further step in size.
