Overview
The Challenger 601-3A continues the wide-cabin, twin-CF34 configuration with its own engine and equipment standard. It is a separate variant within the 601 family, rather than an alternative name for the original 601-1A.
Program history
The 601-3A received Canadian certification in 1987. Bombardier’s subsequent 3R extended the 601 development sequence before the 604 generation arrived.
