Overview
The BBJ3 uses the 737-900ER platform for a longer cabin than the BBJ2. It gives corporate and government customers more interior area for passenger zones or delegation seating while retaining a single-aisle aircraft’s cross-section.
Program history
Boeing developed a ladder of BBJ variants around the 737 family: the original BBJ, BBJ2 and BBJ3. The BBJ3 represents the 737-900ER branch of that legacy range, preceding the separate BBJ 737 MAX generation.
