Overview
The BBJ 787-9 adds cabin length relative to the 787-8 while retaining the Dreamliner’s widebody cross-section. It can support a more extensive cabin programme, with its actual passenger capacity set by the selected completion.
Program history
It is the middle member of Boeing’s three-size BBJ 787 range. The design offers a step up in interior space without moving to the longest 787-10 fuselage.
