Commander 980

Overview

Program history

The 980 followed the 840’s wing and fuel-system improvements but changed the powerplant installation. Greater available power shortened the climb to altitude, an important benefit for business missions with frequent departures. It retained the shorter JetProp cabin arrangement, distinguishing it from the later 900 and 1000 interior configurations.
