Search the global business-jet fleet

Use registration, manufacturer, model, serial number, country, operator, status, year and base airport to find an individual aircraft. Each aircraft record should connect to the relevant Aircraft Model page for specifications and to verified operator or airport profiles where reliable relationships exist.

The intended dataset covers more than 24,000 registered business jets globally, but the number shown on the live page must be calculated from the current database—not hardcoded. The scope label must state whether the count includes inactive, government, experimental, corporate-airliner or very-light-jet records and which national registries are covered.

What an aircraft record should show

• Registration/tail number, state of registry and registry status.
• Manufacturer, model, variant, serial number and year where available.
• Aircraft category, engine reference and model-profile link.
• Operator/manager and base airport only when sourced and legally publishable.
• Source authority, source URL or dataset, source date, last checked and verification status.
• A correction/report-data link and a clear explanation of missing or withheld information.

Data limitations and privacy

Registration does not necessarily identify beneficial ownership, current operator, availability for charter or real-time location. Corporate entities, trusts, leases, management agreements, data-withholding rules and reporting delays can obscure or change relationships. BizJet Journal should not infer a person’s travel, residence or activity from a registry entry or flight trace.

Every bulk source requires a documented license and refresh policy. For example, the FAA publishes a releasable registry download that is refreshed daily, while official ICAO reference datasets may require a paid license. Global coverage should be built country by country with provenance, not assembled from scraped copies of uncertain origin.
